Hey hello,

The Magazin "Keys"(in germany) offered in their latest issue a so called "Steinberg Special" a DVD with CUBASE LE 5. I bought it for about 15 Euros.
Installation on PC worked fine. Registration also. Now i have a "permanent fully function Version. So far so good.

After beeing a bit dissapointed that this Version includes only a few really basic HALION one sounds onboard, i tried to get more sounds.

I downloaded and installed the (free) VST SOUND COLLECTION from the STEINBERG Hompage. Again i was dissapointed!!
The Soundbanks appeared correctly on Harddisk in the HALION ONE content folder beside the LE 5 ESSENTIAL soundnbanks. The clue is ...everytime i try to to select the sounds in CUBASE LE 5 a message appears:

HALION ONE cannot find or Load sound XYZ. What´s wrong ? The soundnames also appears correctly in the Browser in CUBASE LE 5 HALION ONE .

Finally the question ? Does CUBASE LE not ! support the import of any futher Halion ONE Soundbanks ?

The Backround is, that I want to buy the (Steinberg) VST Instrument Set -Synthesizers for about 30 Euros. Does ist work with CUBASE LE 5 HALION ONE or not ???

best regards
Andy

It´s really disapointing, that you get that software so cheap, and then they don´t even give you all that content, other users paid money for...

Well, reading the info text on the download page, it says:
Steinberg.net wrote:
The VST Sound Collection Vol. I offers almost 2 GB of new
content, sounds and loops produced by top producers, including
Yamaha, Sonic Reality and Big Fish Audio. It can be used
royalty free by all Cubase 4, Cubase Studio 4 and Nuendo 4 customers and is
supported in the following applications:

Cubase 4.5 (or later)
Cubase Studio 4.5 (or later)
Nuendo 4.2 with Nuendo Expansion Kit 4.2 (or later)

Unless I´m misunderstanding you, you´re not using one of those versions...

Well, again if I go on the VST Sound instruments set page, it says:
steinberg.net wrote:
Compatible with Cubase 5, Cubase Studio 5, Cubase Essential 5, Cubase 4.5, Cubase Studio 4.5, Sequel 2 and Nuendo 4.2 with NEK

Again, unless I´m misunderstanding you, ...
But hey, you can upgrade to Studio 5 from LE for the same price like me with Essential 5, for which I paid roughly 10x the price of your LE5, and also can´t use any of the HalioOne patches...

Thanks Peaced Dog!

I never expected such a fast and completely correct reply. Your answer saved me about 30 Euros.
I´ve read all those stuff about the compatible Versions, but not in the right way. No word about the LE versions.....stupid boy (me)

Again, THX Peace Dog !

Wie sagt man doch : Lesen bildet ! Schlichtweg zu gierig gewesen...
