Hello,
I got a new DAW with a Plextor PX-880SA burner. I can boot Windows-7/64bit or Windows-XP on this machine. In both cases Wavelab-6 will allow me to burn CDs with 1x, 16x, ... 48x. 4x and 8x are missing. Why is this? When I use another burn program (e.g. ImgBurn) I can use every speed from 1x, 2x, ... 48x. I would like to use 8x for CDs that I want to use as a master.
Thanks,
Hermann

Speed depends on the media in the drive. WaveLab list the available speed which is the intersection of the drive and medium capabilities. Some other programs might not filter out the speeds.
